Artistic Piano Gallery was originally born as the concept of a veteran professional symphony orchestra musician. After four years of schooling at the University of Southern California (USC) conservatory of music and 12 years of playing in the New Orleans Symphony as a full time musician, Eric Werner began to envision a new career path based on his wonderful love of and fascination with the piano.
After several years as an apprentice piano technician, Eric's venture was launched as Artistic Piano Services when he passed a series of strenuous examinations and obtained the certification of RPT (Registered Piano Technician) awarded by the national Piano Technicians Guild.
A large urban area such as New Orleans, a city renowned worldwide for its musical excellence, provided Eric with a wonderful opportunity to become well versed and highly skilled in many different fields of piano technology. As the piano technician for Loyola University in New Orleans, Eric was charged with the tuning and maintenance of well over 50 pianos ranging from the practice rooms to the concert stage. This was soon followed by a large clientele of jazz clubs, upscale hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, cruise ships, and recording studios. It was in this capacity that Eric collaborated with many jazz and popular music legends. These included Ellis Marsalis, Allan Toussaint, Irvin Mayfield, Alicia Keyes, and many more.
It was as a member of the Britt Festival Orchestra that Eric first discovered the Rogue Valley. He has been enchanted by it ever since! Eric began to serve as the concert piano technician for Britt classical in 2003 and continues to serve in that capacity until the present day. This privelege has allowed Eric to prepare the Britt Steinway concert grand for many of the classical world's greatest pianists. These have included Jeff Kahane, John Kimura Parker, Garrick Ohlsson, Ingrid Fliter, Andre Watts, and Emmanuel Ax. Eric also currently serves as the concert piano technician for the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater.

As a firm believer in continuing education, Eric is a regular attendee at the national piano technical institute and convention. Eric has received intensive factory training at Yamaha's week long high level piano preparation course in Los Angeles, and at the Fazioli Pianoforti factory in Sacile, Italy just outside of Venice. Fazioli pianos are the Ferrari of the piano world, with just over 100 pianos produced per year, and the least expensive piano priced at a modest 92,400 dollars!
It was in this capacity that Eric had the privelege of preparing the massive 10'2″ Fazioli concert grand that travels with Fazioli artist Herbie Hancock.
Eric's vision has continued to grow. Artistic Piano Gallery is the most recent embodiment of that ideal, with an artistic and musical background served by technical excellence, integrity, and superior customer service with a smile!
